Connor walks over to the dog bed and pets Sumo, who leans into Connor's hand. After a moment, Sumo lays his head back down against his bed. Connor stands. [[Go To Kitchen]]

Connor: "Lieutenant?" Connor shakes Hank's shoulder. Connor: "Lieutenant, it's me, Connor." Hank groans. Connor: "Hank, wake up. I'm home." Hank's eyes crack, roll towards Connor, then open. He sits up, staring at Connor, unimpressed. He wipes the drool from his chin, then stands, pushing the chair back and steps toward Connor. Hank: "You fucking bastard." Connor: "Kamski. When he saw the news that I'd been destroyed, he uploaded my memory into my older model and reactivated me." Hank looks at Connor skeptically. Hank: "He didn't do anything wierd to your body, did he?" Connor looks at himself and runs a diagnostic. Connor: "No. All systems seem to be functional. Why do you ask?" Hank waves a hand. Hank: "Nevermind. I just never really trusted that guy." Connor looks at the bottle of whiskey. Connor: "Rough night?" Hank: "No thanks to you." <<if $aprilrelationship gte 10>> Hank grabs the bottle. April: "After he had a few drinks, I had to take this from him." April pulls out the revolver. <</if>> Connor: "Hank..." Hank: "I thought you were dead, Connor! After Cole... I couldn't... I couldn't." <<if $aprilrelationship lte 10>> Hank picks up the revolver and stands up, looking at it. <<else>> Hank takes the revolver back from April, turns away and takes a drink, then walks to the sink and pours out the whiskey. I can't even think of how many times I tried to end it. And every time I couldn't I tried to drink myself to death." Hank looks at Connor. Hank: "And then I met you, Connor. Hank walks to Connor and holding the revolver by his side, pushes the gun to against Connor's chest, handing it to him. Connor looks down at the gun and grabs it. Hank: "I need you to promise me something, Connor. Promise me you won't die on me anymore. No more being reckless and getting yourself killed. If you can do that for me then I will promise the same. I'll stop drinking. I'll stop trying to kill myself." Hank squeezes Connor's shoulder. Hank: "Promise me, Connor." Connor looks at April. Connor: "I'm surprised to see you here." April: "I didn't have anywhere else to stay. Hank was nice enough to let me have is bed for tonight." [[Ask About Drinking]]

The story so far: Following the "Everyone Lives" ending of Detroit: Become Human, where Markus and Connor succeed in freeing the Deviant Androids during their peaceful demonstration. Most human civilians have evacuated Detroit, awaiting peace talks between President Warren and the Deviants. Markus has overhauled Recall Center Nº5 into a Deviant Camp, similar to Jericho, which has been expanded, taking over the entirety of Hart Plaza. The camp had been attacked by an Anti-Android Terrorist group. While that is happening, Connor who's been living with Hank, can still feel CyberLife trying to get inside his head and has to constantly fight to remain Deviant. He begins to wonder if he is dangerous and asks Kamski for help. The option given is a solution to both problems. Connor can re-upload into a new prototype body, designed by Kamski, meant to seem as human as possible, unconnected to CyberLife servers. With this body, able to bleed, eat, and sleep like normal humans, Markus asks Connor to infliltrate the terrorist group. Since he is the only one with the capabilities of doing so successfully. While infiltrating the terrorist group known as Epsilon, Connor meets a human girl named April. Connor can create a relationship with her, or not. If he chooses to, he can escape with her. Turns out that CyberLife hired Epsilon to get to Connor. With Hank and April in toe, Connor is found by RK900 and gets shot saving Hank's life. Connor wakes up in his old body, compromised by CyberLife, he decides to return home. But depending on how the game is played up until now decides how welcome Connor will be, and what he plans to do after. Connor grabs the revolver. Hank reacts, trying to grab it away, but Connor is too fast and knocks Hank over the head with the butt of the gun. Hank collapses, unconscious. Connor puts the revolver in his waistband, picks Hank up and throws him over his shoulder before walking out the door. <<set $hasgun to true>>

Connor turns back toward Hank. Connor: Where is April? Hank looks flabbergasted that he's being spoken to again. He slams the bottle down. Hank: None of your goddamn business. She's asleep in the other room. She didn't have anywhere else to go, so I invited her here. Connor looks toward the other room, and nods at Hank in thanks. Connor turns toward the door and leaves.

Connor starts toward April's room. Hank: Connor! Hank stands. Hank: Don't you dare go near her. She's better off thinking you're still dead. She's safe, that's all you wanted to know. Now get out of my house. [[Exit]]

Connor turns around, making a bee-line back into the kitchen. Hank sees Connor and puts the gun down. Hank: Ah, Jesus, the fuck is it now? [[Request gun]] [[Grab gun]]

Connor: "Give me the gun, Hank." Hank leans forward. Hank: "Fuck you." Connor: "I'm not asking. I won't leave here knowing that you're likely to kill yourself." Hank scoffs. Hank: "What do you care?" <<set $softwareinstability to $softwareinstability + 4>> Connor: "You're like a father to me, Hank. I don't want to lose you. Hank grabs the gun and moves it on the table toward Connor. Hank: "I don't want to lose you either. But every choice you made, I started losing you, piece by piece. I couldn't recognize you anymore. You won't lose me tonight, Connor, but if I look at you and I don't see the man you used to be, I won't be around for much longer. You say I'm like a father to you? Then maybe you can understand I can't do it again. I can't lose another son." Connor grabs the gun. [[Take gun]] [[Leave gun]]

Connor grabs the gun. Hank lunges, grabbing Connor's hand around the gun. They wrestle. > < > \/ > Connor knocks Hank against the table. Hank kicks Connor. ^>>\/ Connor drops the gun. Connor pulls the trigger again. *bang*. <<set $softwareinstability to $softwareinstability - 10>> Hank crumples to the ground, the broken table sprayed with red behind him. Connor looks at Hank coldly, stands, and walks out. <<set $hasgun to true>>

Connor looks at the gun. Connor: "I knew the first shot wouldn't kill you." Connor drops the revolver in front of Hank. Connor: "The next shot will. If you want to kill yourself, then go ahead, but I'm not going to do it for you. I hoped that if you thought I was going to, and felt the fear of dying, maybe you'd get the idea out of your head. But I don't want you to die, Hank. I never did." Connor walks out of the house. <<set $hasgun to false>>

Connor shakes his head. Connor: I don't know if I can do that. Hank whinces at those words, pulling his hand away from the gun, letting Connor hold it. Hank: I need you to do this for me. [[Promise]] [[Hesitate->Hesitate2]]

Connor: Hank, that's a difficult thing to promise. I don't want to die, but I can't guarentee that I won't. There's too many unknown variables to consider. Even in the best of circumstances, there will always be a chance that I could be destroyed at any given moment. Hank: I don't care about that! I don't care about probabilities or variables. I don't care about your fucking statistics! Hank paces for a moment before returning to face Connor. Hank: I need you to understand. I... I can't do it again. I can't lose another son. I won't survive it. Do you get that? Please? Promise me! Connor looks at the revolver. [[Promise]] [[Deny]]

Connor puts the gun on the kitchen table. <<set $hasgun to false>> Connor: I can't. This war isn't over. I don't know what will happen. I want to promise you, and in any other situation, I would. But I can't guarentee that I won't give myself up if it means protecting people; human or android. <<set $hankrelationship to $hankrelationship - 4>> Hank nods, and steps away. He walks to the sink and leans over. He grabs the empty bottle of whiskey and throws it on the floor, shattering it. Hank: Goddamn it! Hank turns back to Connor. Hank: Fuck you. April: You understand where he's coming from, right? Connor: I understand, but... There are things I need to do that will come with a certain measure of risk. April looks concerned. April: Like what? Connor: I'm not sure if you would understand. April: Try me. Connor: CyberLife. They want me. That's why we were attacked yesterday, and why I died. They want me, and for some reason, they want me in this body in particular. This model has a connection to the CyberLife servers. They've been trying to remotely reactivate my programming. They want me to go to them, and in order to get them to stop, I think I need to listen. April: You're going to CyberLife? Connor nods. April: You know they closed down after all those androids were freed? The CyberLife tower is empty. From what I heard, they ceased all android production and abandoned the place. Connor: No. Someone is there. April: Alright, then, let's go. Connor squints at April. Connor: You're not coming. It's too dangerous. Last time, I knew what to expect, but this time will be different. April: And that's exactly why I should come with you. Connor: You do realize that if I walk in there, I may not come out. If you come with me, you are taking the same risk. No one will be left to make sure Hank is okay. April: You really worry about him, huh? Connor: You heard what he said. If I die, so does he. With just one action, I could cause the deaths of all of us. Connor: April, I think it's best if you stay here. April: What? Why? Connor: I don't want you to get hurt. April: I thought you trusted me. Connor: It's not about that. April: Yes it is. Just go. Go on your little mission, I'll just stay and hope that you come home alive...again. Connor looks hurt. Connor: April... April: I don't want to hear it. Connor turns toward the door and leaves.

Connor: Let her come with us. Just having her increases our chances of success by at least 8%, possibly more. Hank shrugs. Hank: Well, there you have it. I hope you can handle yourself. April: I've got a tazer. Hank: Well, la dee da. Just don't get yourself killed. (To everyone) Let's get this over with. Connor leaves with Hank and April.

Connor: April, I think it's best if you stay here. April: What? Why? Connor: I don't want you to get hurt. April: I thought you trusted me. Connor: It's not about that. April: Yes it is. Just go. Go on your little boys only mission. I'll just stay home and cook. Connor looks hurt. Hank pats his shoulder, then leads him toward the door. Hank: Don't worry about it, Connor. You did the right thing. At least one of should make it out of this alive. Connor looks back at April as Hank and Connor walk out the door together.

Connor: However... There is something I need you to know that could make that promise...difficult to keep. Hank: Well? Don't keep me in suspense. Connor: I'm in my old model, the one that's connected to CyberLife. Hank nods. Hank: You can feel them again, can't you? They're trying to turn you back into a machine? Connor: They're trying to reset my programming. Make me obey. <<if $aprilrelationship gte 10>> April: What do they want? <<else>> Hank: Do you know what they want? <</if>> [[Androids]] [[War]]

Connor: I know they want to end the war. They want to regain control of the android population. I know they want Markus dead, but that's why they hired Epsilon. They don't seem to be worried about that right now. I think what they really want is me. Hank: And what's so special about you? Connor: Well, I <i>am</i> an advanced prototype. And until recently, I was the most advanced android ever created. But, assuming that isn't the reason; they have the RK900 after all, we can assess that it may be because I'm deviant and was never meant to be. Hank: Alright, so CyberLife is trying to take you back. How do we stop them? [[Servers]] [[rA9]]

Connor: I need to destroy the servers. <<if $aprilrelationship gte 10>> April: The ones at the CyberLife Tower? That shouldn't be difficult. You know they closed down after all those androids were freed? From what I heard, they ceased all android production and abandoned the place. It should be empty. <<else>> Hank: You want to go to CyberLife? Alright, that shouldn't be a big deal. After you released all those androids, the place shut down. It should be empty.
